Why the swingset must go...

I'm not sure why the swingset makes my lab, Tex, so insane...but it's not worth keeping around!

The Qualleys Buy a House!

After 4 years of marriage and three different apartments, Grant & I finally made the ultimate in grown-ups decisions. We bought our first house! The closing occured on May 3rd. Everyone kept warning us about the paperwork, but I think our excitment kept our spirits up as we signed our names...and signed our names...and signed our names.

Immediately after we left the closing (and might've screamed a little out of sheer joy in the car), we packed up the dogs and a few boxes and headed over to the Qualley abode. I got a ceremonial picture of Grant unlocking the front door for the first time.
And then I got to open it...aren't we the coolest?

We made Maggie & Tex sit and wait while we got a picture of them at the doorstep of their home. They were distracted by an outside cat that the sellers of the house fed every day. That is another story for another day, but let's just say the cat and Maggie are not friends.

Our first romp as a family in the backyard. The sellers left this place-scape, which we don't have much use for. We'll probably remove it and give it to a family with kiddos.

I think it's funny that I don't have any real picture of the house in this first post, but I obviuosly love our backyard. This was the first morning in our new home. I get this view from our kitchen and living room. Hopefully you'll all be a guest at the Qualley home in the future!
